General Summary
The China marketing communications manager for will be the go-to person for all things marketing for product divisions in China. This marketing professional will be responsible for support and/or management of key marketing programs and initiatives to drive demand and brand awareness for products and services in China. The successful candidate work with China sales teams to support and drive revenue-generating programs, design and execute local events, and generate awareness of the brand within our key markets with purchase influencers and decision makers. The successful candidate will report to the vice president of marketing communications.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
· Drive implementation of local versions of corporate designed marketing programs and initiatives for the China market
· Serve as the main point-of-communication for all marketing in the China market
· Create local demand generation programs to drive business in the China market
· Serve as marketing lead for the China version of website and be responsible for localizing pages and programs provided by the headquarter
· Direct all marketing localization needs in China
· Implement public relations activities in China
· Be the owner and driver of China customer events and tradeshows
· Serve as editor for all marketing communications materials being used in China
· Provide writing, translation, and editing support for customer-facing social media content and articles in the China market
· Serve as internal liaison for marketing communications and work with cross organizational teams to ensure adherence to branding standards and marketing processes
· Responsible for all reporting on activities such as web traffic, program effectiveness, conversion to sales in China
Job Specifications
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in media communications, journalism, or marketing desired
· Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in marketing, website management, demand generation, and public relations
· Experience organizing and running events
· Highly self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, strong sense of ownership, driven to learn and master new technologies, able to work independently with little supervision in a highly dynamic environment
· Strong ability to manage by influence in a matrixed organization
· Ability to manage multiple marketing projects and shifting priorities under tight deadlines
· Strong interpersonal skills with a capacity to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work with executive staff and across all levels of the organization
· Demonstrated aptitude for understanding and solving marketing problems
· Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), with some proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign a definite plus
· Demonstrable mastery of the English language in written and spoken form an absolute must
